MXING
All contents of the Rubbercrete bag must be used. The mixing container should be a high-sided mixing tub, to contain the product using the sequence as follows;
- 6 litres of water into mixing container.
- Carefully empty all recycled rubber into container.
- Open and pour all powder content.
- Mix utilising a paddle mixer for approx 3 minutes.
- Add further small amounts of water as necessary for the workability required to suit the humidity and substrate the material is being applied. MAXIMUM LITRES Re-mix for a further 2-3 minutes
APPLICATION
Apply Walltransform primer to substrate. (Mix primer 2 or 3 parts to 1 water and apply to the surface area of the wall. It is important not to let the primer dry before applying Rubbercrete, it should be applied whilst still tacky to the touch.
Rubbercrete can be applied the same as all ordinary wall coatings.
IT IS IMPORTANT TO SPREAD RUBBERCRETE OVER A LARGE SURFACE AREA RATHER THAN CONCENTRATING ON A SMALL AREA AND APPLY ONE WAY WORKING BOTTOM TO TOP NOT SIDEWAYS as some plasterers do, for ease of application.
Sealer coat is recommended on basic substrate and between base and finish coat. (depending on suction.)
Finish using suitable skim plaster finish (multi finish/board finish ect) as with ordinary plaster.
